The big guy has a new hairdo... or so I hear. (I haven't seen it myself.)

He is in between chemo treatments and his hair was thinning considerably, so he decided it'd be better to shave it all off. He wanted me to mention that he is appreciative of the fact that the hair loss is a temporary condition for him.

At the first of next month he will be starting another round of chemo and will be required to again wear the infusion pump for five days. He is expecting side effects, he's just not sure what they might be.

He is in good spirits and seems to be taking everything in stride.

I talked to the big guy yesterday and he's out of the hospital. He seemed like he was doing okay and on the mend.

I received word yesterday morning that the big guy was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening. His white blood cell count was extremely low. I have not heard any other news.

The big guy had a PET scan a couple of weeks ago and a suspicious spot turned up on his liver. After a biopsy, it turned out to be malignant. He started chemo again yesterday. He is facing surgery and possibly another round of focused radiation. He told me he had just started to feel better, too.

I got a call last week that the big guy got out of the hospital on Monday. I spoke with him over the weekend as well and it seems the recovery process is slow going. I heard he's lost a total of about 75 pounds.

I received word that the stint was removed last week and the big guy can finally eat anything he wants. The chest tube was put in and I haven't heard anything regarding the results of the fluid. Will keep you posted as I hear updates.

I just received a message this morning that the big guy is back in the hospital due to fluid around the lungs. They are going to insert a chest tube to take out the stent. That's all the news I have at this time.
